DESCRIPTION:Rassegna Musiche Extra-Ordinarie \nCRAIG TABORN – pianoforte \nCompositore\, pianista e tastierista\, Craig Taborn è il più quotato pianista della sua generazione\, una delle stelle più luminose del firmamento della musica non solo jazzistica attuale. \nNewyorkese di adozione\, si è rapidamente imposto nella scena più concorrenziale del pianeta\, suonando e registrando con figure di primo piano quali Roscoe Mitchell\, Wadada Leo Smith\, Tim Berne\, Steve Coleman\, Lester Bowie\, Evan Parker\, Bill Laswell\, Susie Ibarra\, Bill Frisell e tanti altri. \nAttualmente è membro del Chris Potter’s Underground\, Roscoe Mitchell’s Note Factory and Quintet\, Tim Berne’s Hard Cell and Science Friction ensembles\, Drew Gress’ 7 Black Butterflies\, Gerald Cleaver’s Uncle June\, Farmer’s by Nature con William Parker e Cleaver\, Anker/Taborn/Cleaver\, David Binney’s Welcome to Life band and Quartet e il Susie Ibarra’s trio. \nÈ stato eletto miglior nuovo talento jazz nel 2004 da Musica Jazz e salutato come il “n.1 Rising Star Keyboardist” dal Downbeat Critics. \nHa inciso decine di cd come side man o a suo nome per tutte le più importanti etichette internazionali\, come l’ECM\, Intakt Records\, Tzadik\, Clean Feed\, ecc. \nL’eclettismo di Taborn lo porta ad avere contemporaneamente diversi suoi progetti\, come il trio a suo nome\, il quintetto Junk Magic\, l’Ancients and Moderns ensemble ed è membro della band progressive noise/punk The Gang Font\, oltre che essere acclamatissimo per il suo solo al pianoforte acustico\, in cui regala costantemente perle di rara bellezza. \n  \nIngresso € 15.00\nArea Sismica è un circolo Arci.
